The Righteous Gentile Keeping Shoah Memories Alive

In this week's The Jewish Link - Expanded Edition, you will find a glorious, illuminating article about Liesbeth Heenk at Amsterdam Publishers, who brought my book Zaidy's War to the masses, and other popular, important works by writers who I'm proud to call my colleagues and friends.

In this article I'm given considerable ink, love, and compliments, for which I'm very grateful.

But what really matters is Liesbeth's "origin story," as it were. Her path is remarkable, her ambition enviable, her work indomitable.

She is what is called one of the "Chasidei Umot Ha'olam." I'm so proud to know one, and she is a great one.

A blessing on her head, and a good, healthy long life.

The Emoji Haggadah Documentary

The what? Yes. This is neither clip, nor reel, nor segment. Nay, this is a full-on exploration and explanation of The Emoji Haggadah, and it feels, looks, plays, and presents as a documentary, so I'm calling it that, and I couldn't be more honored.

Background: this fine young gentleman named David Akerman, who runs the Yiddishkeit channel on multiple social media venues, came across my creation, was smitten, and reached out to have a conversation with me (he also spotted it on display in the Library of Congress, which still blows my mind).

That conversation is interwoven in this marvelous, detailed, fun, and fascinating doc that finally - for those who have demanded this of me for years - gives perfect, concise, illustrative, and practical instructions for reading the book successfully and easily.

Take 22 minutes out of your day (it'll give you the world, har har). I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

And thank you, David!
